Edge scopes retain the admitted plan digest and length-delimited region
with fixed-width stage/reference coordinates. They require no additional
hash invocation; the frame schema checks their final bounded byte extent.
All node references use postorder ordinals. Three fields per node are
output, left operand and right operand. They are logical references, never
host addresses. A target is free to pack only its reachable references.
